Hi, I'm Adriana,
I grew up in Venezuela, but for the last 20 years, I've been moving around the world along with my husband and our 2 children. We've lived in Canada and Chile and just recently moved to the USA, specifically to Yorktown, Virginia, where I do most of my work. This experience has enriched my life in many ways. I've become more attuned to my surroundings, I see and get excited about things that for others are ordinary. Having come in contact with different cultures has taught me to appreciate how beautiful diversity can be.
My work is an exploration of the everyday, finding beauty and stories in the mundane moments of city life. Deeply influenced by my architectural roots, I use my lens to capture the dynamic interplay between the built environment and people, trying to reveal stories and unseen details of urban existence. I bring to my photography an understanding of space, composition, and appreciation of light, colors, and aesthetics in general. I find the most interesting shoot locations to be public areas; nonetheless, I love shooting indoors as well.
I invite you to browse my site and feel free to contact me for questions, if you would like to schedule a session, or if interested in a print.
Thank you for your visit! - Adri.
